OnlyFans Headache

OnlyFans is becoming a big thing within the adult entertainment industry offering workers the ability to have paid subscription based twitter style accounts where fans can pay a monthly price for exclusive content and even tip their favourite models. It seems like a great idea.  I signed up in August 2016, tried it out a bit, had a sub subscribe to my profile, added some content but I really didn't take it too seriously.Now I'm glad that I wasn't very active.


Reality is, OnlyFans sucks the big one with its so called support. I have been trying to receive a $12 payment since September 2016 

The problem started with the OnlyFans site stating my banking info was incorrect. My account info was in fact correct, I called my bank and verified the account number. I contacted onlyfans support in October 2016 but I'll get into that a bit later. I contacted onlyfans for a second time in early 2017 as I had decided that I would become much more active on the site IF I could get the payments sorted out.



Upon contacting support I was miraculously unverified and according to their support I needed to be verified to receive payments. I had been verified since I first joined so I'm not sure how I became unverified but I went through the verification process for a second time any way in hopes that the verification would fix the problems I was having. Of course it did not, and I contacted the onlyfans support yet again.

Then onlyfans "support" told me I was not able to receive any payment because I had a US based account and I needed a CAD account to be paid. Apparently they only pay out in CAD? Funny because I could have sworn that a ton of US and Canadian based twitter dommes/models were receiving their payments on the daily.
I am in Canada, I have a Canadian account, I have never had a US dollar account, nor have I ever been to the US so I'm not exactly sure how or why the onlyfans support could think that I am US based. I reiterated to their support that I am in fact Canada based and that my account was a CAD account. I also informed them that ALL of my banking information was correct and verified with my bank.

Onlyfans then they offered to freeze my account and pay out via PayPal. I quickly replied informing them about how paypal regularly freezes funds and locks accounts for sex workers, it was not a very good option. I felt as though, since onlyfans is mainly used by those in the adult entertainment industry (sex workers) they should have known that paypal was not a good payment option. (I'll get into the problems with sex workers and paypal in a later blog)

Support then offered to pay out via payoneer. I personally do not use payoneer so I declined that option. 
I thought about what possible options there were left since their system and/or support refused to directly deposit my payment into my bank account, I finally decided to go with paypal because really, what choice did I have?  Onlyfans had replied and agreed to pay within 48 hours via PayPal... I was still waiting nearly 2 weeks later  



The blame game OnlyFans tries to play when you contact their support is frustrating and headache inducing at best.  I had attempted to contact the onlyfans support in October of 2016 but I never received any response, when I mentioned that to the support I was told that they "always respond" and I must have mistyped my email address when filling out the contact form... Now that is very plausible, except for the small fact that I actually emailed their support directly instead of using their on site contact form, I still have the original email I sent to them. Which, by the way, is exactly the same way I contacted them this time, and the same way I contact every single site support I have ever used! I won't even use a website that doesn't have a public email that can be used to contact either the support team or owner directly.

I really had to shake my head at the so called support onlyfans has and I'm hoping that it was just one shitty support person being an ass but I won't be taking that chance. I have closed my account, removed my content and am finding a better site to use.  

I finally received my payment, after contacting support yet again and basically threatening them with bad publicity.  I bitched out their support, called them out on their bullshit and told them how not only was I going to publicly bash them in my blog but I would also tell every single girl I know to stay as far away from onlyfans as they can. 



I am beyond unimpressed! I know $12 isn't a lot of money but I don't care how much it is, the headache over a measly 12 bucks really makes me glad I didn't go all out on this site. I hate to think about how hard it would have been to get a large payment.  If a payment that small took nearly a year and threats of bad publicity to get can you imagine the battle it would have taken to receive a payment of $1200 or $12000? 

I normally would add a sign up link for anyone willing to chance the headache but I absolutely cannot tell you to stay away from the site enough! 

If you are using onlyfans and have nothing but good things to say then I am really happy for you! As I said before, I hope that my issue with onlyfans was due to a single asshole support member and is not how they normally deal with issues. 
I know onlyfans is growing quickly, I see it on my twitter newsfeed all day long, and I hope that as a sex worker friendly site that they are successful and can provide a safe site for workers to use for years to come.

Wow!! Its 2019 and I am currently having this issue. I have almost $200 in my account, have only received ONE correspondence from their "support", and have lost ALL BUT ONE of my fans. By this way, its April and that balance was due in February, when I requested it. I am US based and have been able to cash out with them before. Now, its a bunch of BS. I'm taking my work to Patreon or paying for my own site. This is ridiculous!!

i cant directly relate to this but I've definitely had a huge problem with OnlyFans in the past year. They literally won't let me use their website. I've created multiple accounts and when it comes to subscribing or depositing money in my wallet i get a popup saying "Transaction cannot be done" and then they lock me out of the account. i've contacted their support twice but both feedback was just some unhelpful bs (just contacted them again and hoping they give me something different but i'm very doubtful) it sucks cause there are a bunch of accounts that i'd love to subscribe to but OF literally won't let me.

I have the exact same problem... transaction cannot be done and then locked account. Their response was some garbage about fraudulent activity and that creating multiple accounts is also a red flag! What? It is THERE software issue and locking of my account, that they refuse to reopen, that CAUSES me to have to create a new account. If the bank I am using is not supported and that is the problem, then why do they not let you try a different card? The funny thing is, is that a subscribe transaction went through my bank, and then was immediately reversed... wtf? this site is a joke

Omg! Same! I’m not able to properly add a card. Maybe because of a pop up that is being blocked or something and then they completely ban me! I think it’s because they see a reversal of a test charge on my account and the system see it as a chargeback which are in the terms for a blacklist. That’s why I keep getting booted out. Their website needs a major overhaul. And I’m so sad because there was a Corona special I wanted to subscribe for but obviously my money isn’t good enough for them to actually have decent customer support.
